Many businesses are closing and many more are laying off employees by the thousands. The once dominant electronics retail chain officially closed this weekend and laid off 34,000 more workers. In my opinion, the store lost focus several years ago. Best Buy pretty much beat them in every category possible--namely prices! They couldnt even go out in style! They disappointed till the end by not actually offering real discounts. How do you mark up prices really high and then mark it back down, and still cant compete with others regular pricing? It was noted that the prices still were comparable and cheaper at places like Walmart. Other shoppers complained that the retailer sold junk and wouldnt offer refunds or back up their products with warranties. I guess it started and ended with overpricing and bad customer service!
